Role Summary

The Account Executive (AE) identifies, captures, and grows new and existing customer accounts, with emphasis on the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of State (DoS), Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and international organizations. The AE partners closely with leadership, Business Development, and Operations to pursue opportunities aligned to corporate strategy and to ensure seamless post-award support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies across new and existing accounts.
  • Identify, qualify, and capture opportunities with DoD, DoS, DNI, FMS, and international organizations.
  • Research markets, trends, and competitors to inform capture and positioning.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Proposal teams on capture, bids, and proposals.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations and develop business development reports.
  • Coordinate with operations and leadership for smooth handoffs and post-award delivery.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets through organic expansion and net-new wins.

Ideal Profile

Required:

  • 8+ years in business development, account management, or sales in USG/defense contracting.
  • Proven success capturing and growing large, diverse U.S. Government accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Strong sales acumen with demonstrated revenue growth performance.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, networking, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker adept at spotting new markets and opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience with DoD, DoS, DNI, or Foreign Military Sales programs.
  • Knowledge of defense and federal acquisition processes.
  • Experience as both prime contractor and subcontractor.
  • Familiarity with 8(a) Tribal entity advantages in federal contracting.

Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; Top Secret preferred.

Compensation, Schedule, And Location

  • Salary: $190,000–$205,000 (USD) with a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Location: Fairfax, VA (professional office environment).
  • Job Type & Hours: Full-time; Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; evenings/weekends as needed.
  • Travel: Up to 30% (domestic and international, including overnight travel).

Work Environment And Policies

  • Professional office setting with routine computer, phone, and equipment use; primarily indoor work.
  • Ability to remain stationary up to 75% of the time; occasional movement to access files/equipment.
  • Capability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
