Role Summary

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Community Relations Manager designs and executes the corporate business development and community relations strategy. You will lead Business Development Officers, manage a defined budget, expand partnerships across civic and sponsor organizations, and track metrics that connect community engagement to member, loan, asset, and product growth. The role also oversees volunteer events, financial education programs, sponsorships, and timely responses to community requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP of Marketing to plan, develop, and oversee business development and community relations strategy.
  • Develop, execute, and track initiatives that drive member, loan, asset, and product/service growth across markets.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Business Development Officers; align team goals with organizational priorities and foster open communication and problem-solving.
  • Plan and manage the annual Community Relations budget, including forecasting and cost tracking.
  • Expand vendor relationships and use data to identify, develop, and manage partnerships with civic groups, local government, and sponsor organizations.
  • Track and report metrics for community initiatives; evaluate participation and sponsorships to maximize brand impact and membership growth.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform best practices and new opportunities.
  • Plan and execute volunteer events, financial education programs, and other community initiatives; manage related purchases and BDO activities.
  • Coordinate timely responses to sponsorship requests with Marketing, BDOs, and Branch Managers, ensuring payments, volunteer scheduling, and materials are delivered.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ideal Profile

  • 2+ years in management, community relations, or business development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or related field preferred (not required).
  • Strong relationship-building, tact, diplomacy, and cross-functional collaboration; comfortable engaging with external stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills; meets deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Knowledge of BSA/OFAC compliance; able to assist members with related questions and complete annual BSA training.

Compensation, Employment Type, And Location

Full-time role based in Daleville, AL. The expected salary range is $78,900–$118,500 USD, commensurate with experience.
