West Cancer Foundation is hiring a Manager of Development and Engagement to lead strategic fundraising and donor programs that expand access to cancer care across the Mid-South. Based in Memphis, this full-time, exempt role oversees corporate partnerships, recurring and payroll giving, employee giving campaigns, and signature events—most notably West Fight On. The position reports to the Vice President of Development and is ideal for a nonprofit development professional who thrives at the intersection of relationship-building, data-informed strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Role Summary
The Manager of Development and Engagement leads and executes fundraising strategies that drive year-over-year revenue growth and deepen donor relationships. The role manages recurring giving programs, cultivates corporate and individual donors, and stewards partnerships and sponsorships. It also leads planning and execution for fundraising events, collaborates with marketing on promotional plans, and ensures accurate CRM and reporting practices to inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and optimize the annual development plan in partnership with the Vice President of Development.
- Manage recurring giving programs, including payroll deductions and employee giving campaigns, to sustain and grow participation.
- Cultivate individual and corporate donor relationships to strengthen engagement and secure ongoing support.
- Identify, secure, and steward corporate partnerships, including sponsorships, workplace giving, and employee volunteer initiatives.
- Develop and implement stewardship strategies to improve donor retention and increase lifetime giving value.
- Support prospect research and pipeline development for major gifts and planned giving opportunities.
- Lead planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising events, with a primary focus on the West Fight On signature event.
- Oversee event logistics, vendor management, sponsorship outreach and fulfillment, attendee communications, volunteer coordination, and post-event reporting.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional strategies that drive attendance, engagement, and visibility for campaigns and events.
- Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM (Virtuous preferred) and ensure timely gift entry, receipting, and acknowledgments.
- Generate data-driven reports to assess fundraising performance and inform strategic decisions across campaigns and programs.
- Serve as a liaison across programs, finance, and marketing to align fundraising with organizational goals; represent the organization at community and corporate engagement events.
- Provide strategic and administrative support to the Vice President of Development and President, including preparation for donor meetings and special initiatives.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE a plus.
- 4–6 years of nonprofit development experience with emphasis on donor engagement, corporate partnerships, and event management.
- Demonstrated success managing fundraising campaigns and cultivating donor relationships that lead to sustained support.
- Proficiency with donor management systems; experience with Virtuous CRM strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for varied donor audiences.
- Strong project management, organization, and deadline management across concurrent initiatives.
- Passion for health equity and a commitment to advancing cancer care in the Mid-South region.
Compensation, Benefits, And Location
Status: Full-time, exempt. Location: Memphis, TN. Salary range: $68,000–$72,000 annually (commensurate with experience). Benefits include generous PTO and paid holidays, health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
