Role Summary

As the Retail Media Sponsored Ads Specialist, you will create proposals, participate in client meetings, and manage campaigns for entry to mid-tier clients across platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Target/Roundel, and Instacart. You’ll handle keyword research, campaign setup, budget allocation, reporting, and experimentation (including A/B testing) to continuously improve performance and support post-campaign recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute retail media strategies aligned with client and business goals, with support from the Retail Media Sponsored Ads Manager.
  • Collaborate with brand, product, and integrated marketing teams to align advertising with broader objectives.
  • Create proposals and join client meetings to translate needs into actionable plans, with manager support.
  • Manage end-to-end sponsored ad campaigns (setup, keyword research, analysis) for entry to mid-tier clients.
  • Allocate and optimize budgets at monthly and tactic levels; review billing for accuracy and resolve issues promptly.
  • Conduct detailed keyword research and competitive analysis to uncover growth opportunities and inform testing plans.
  • Customize reporting, respond to ad-hoc requests, and provide regular performance insights to stakeholders and clients.
  • Monitor and optimize targeting, keywords, bids, and placements; run A/B tests and experiments to improve outcomes.
  • Support post-campaign analysis and recommend next steps that promote repeat business and incremental results.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Associate’s degree.
  • At least 1 year managing retail media sponsored ads (Amazon, Walmart, Target/Roundel, Instacart) with a track record of meeting client objectives.
  • Understanding of performance marketing, conversion optimization, and online customer acquisition funnels and metrics.
  • Familiarity with retail media ad tech such as AMC/Amazon Marketing Cloud, Criteo, Citrus Ads, Skai, Helium10, Pacvue, Analytic Index, and Intent wise.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel (formulas, functions, pivot tables) at an entry to intermediate level.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and campaigns concurrently with sound prioritization skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and resolve issues cross-functionally.
  • Process-oriented mindset; adheres to role processes and recommends streamlining and optimization where appropriate.
