Role Summary

Reporting into Marketing and partnering closely with GTM leaders, the Director, Channel Marketing will define the global channel strategy and build scalable programs that enable, co-market with, and incentivize partners across MSP, distributor, and reseller ecosystems. You will set priorities, align stakeholders, operate incentive and MDF programs, and own measurable outcomes from partner engagement to sourced pipeline. This role is remote within the United States or Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global channel marketing strategy, priorities, and KPIs in collaboration with GTM Partnerships and Marketing.
  • Build and execute a multi-tier partner program for MSPs, resellers, and distributors to drive pipeline and support sales goals.
  • Define partner enablement strategy, including sales collateral, marketing resources, and training materials to accelerate productivity.
  • Plan and manage co-marketing campaigns and MDF programs that activate partners and reward performance.
  • Operate a partner incentive program to motivate reps and accelerate deal velocity across segments.
  • Oversee and evolve the partner portal, ensuring up-to-date assets and a strong partner experience (Zift experience a plus).
  • Shorten time-to-first-deal for newly onboarded partners and maintain consistent partner-sourced pipeline generation.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing channel marketing team as the program scales globally.
  • Build strategic relationships with priority partners to position 1Password as a preferred vendor and displace competitors where appropriate.
  • Partner with GTM leaders on partner acquisition, onboarding, and joint go-to-market motions.
  • Own reporting on channel KPIs, including sourced pipeline, program ROI, and partner engagement metrics.

Ideal Profile

  • 8+ years in channel or partner marketing; cybersecurity or B2B SaaS experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to design, launch, and scale partner programs with measurable revenue impact.
  • Deep understanding of MSP, distributor, and reseller models across SMB and enterprise segments.
  • History of leading cross-functional work with Sales, Product Marketing, and Partnerships to align on outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with MDF, co-marketing, incentives, and partner lifecycle management processes and tools.
  • Experience managing partner portals; Zift familiarity strongly preferred.
  • Executive presence and strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and build external trust.
  • People leadership experience and an interest in developing talent in a fast-moving environment.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong program management and analytical skills.

Compensation And Location

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada. USA-based roles: $183,000–$247,000 USD base. Canada-based roles: $177,000–$239,000 CAD base. Compensation includes eligibility for benefits, paid time off, equity, and where applicable, incentive programs. 1Password commits to fair market value and internal equity based on experience and skills.
